Most of us follow them, many of us want to be them, and all of us wonder how they make that magic happen.  Step “Behind the Lens of the Influencer” with Arielle Levy. As a professional fashion & lifestyle influencer photographer, Arielle will share the ins and outs of breaking into this space, show you how to shoot and edit images that drive likes, and discuss the relationship between photographers, influencers, and brands.

Are you an influencer who wants to up her social game?  Do you want to get the attention of brands and build relationships? Or are you a photographer who wants to create more engaging lifestyle work? This program is for all of you!  From posing, shooting products, and using props to composition, location scouting, and lens choice, Arielle will reveal the tips and tricks to creating photos that tell a story and draw attention on social media. Students should have experience shooting in manual mode. A female model will be on hand for lifestyle imagery posing examples.

Lifestyle family photography gives the photographer the creative freedom to capture the true essence of any family in a way that satisfies both your clients and the photographer as an artist. Learn what it takes to run a successful family lifestyle shoot during this boutique class as Elena takes you through a lifestyle session. She will teach attendees how to run the session in an organized way and demonstrate the skills necessary to pose and guide the subjects toward genuine emotions. You will see how she breaks down each individual pose and then learn exactly what she says to guide her clients into images that evoke the love of family. Watch and learn as Elena demonstrates how she uses outdoor locations, how she finds and uses light, and how she interacts with clients. You will see exactly how she manages uncooperative children and other tricky, unpredictable situations. Finally, she will show you how she works quickly and efficiently, maximizing each pose so that she can create beautiful, robust, artistic, and diverse galleries for her clients.

The world is a culturally rich and diverse place yet most of our portfolios reflect what we see in the mirror or the small communities in which we live. Karthika Gupta knows that while there is a sense of comfort in sticking to what we know best, stepping out of our comfort zone brings understanding and appreciation of the world around us in countless ways. In this shooting demonstration, Karthika will show you the world. Take a journey with her as she explores a lifestyle approach to travel photography and shows you how to incorporate the diversity of the world around you into your portfolio. Learn how to turn everyday moments in a new environment into a compelling lifestyle travel story.

During this shooting demonstration, Karthika will work with culturally diverse models and photograph them within the environment. This boutique will take place in the Dana Point Harbor, providing a rich landscape against which attendees can learn the art of focusing and shooting in a foreign environment while learning how to interact with clients of different cultural backgrounds.

Join Sarah Gupta and Danielle Awwad in a boutique session that will cover the ins and outs of lifestyle child photography. The emphasis of this class will be to teach photographers how to study and capture golden hour light with the intention of telling a story. Sarah and Danielle will be shooting with a teen or child model for their demonstration while she engages in an activity. The instructors will walk you through their best tips as they guide you to shoot with magical creativity. See firsthand how color, composition, movement and beautiful light can come together to make gallery-worthy images. Attendees will have a chance to observe how Danielle and Sarah capture images with their own vision in mind, and then will be able to shoot the model alongside the instructors on the resort grounds. Participants should have experience shooting in manual mode. After Click Away the instructors will share how they polish their golden hour images by providing participants with an editing video tutorial of an image captured during the class.
