BOUTIQUE PROGRAM: Behind the Lens of the Influencer

Most of us follow them, many of us want to be them, and all of us wonder how they make that magic happen.  Step “Behind the Lens of the Influencer” with Arielle Levy. As a professional fashion & lifestyle influencer photographer, Arielle will share the ins and outs of breaking into this space, show you how to shoot and edit images that drive likes, and discuss the relationship between photographers, influencers, and brands.

Are you an influencer who wants to up her social game?  Do you want to get the attention of brands and build relationships? Or are you a photographer who wants to create more engaging lifestyle work? This program is for all of you!  From posing, shooting products, and using props to composition, location scouting, and lens choice, Arielle will reveal the tips and tricks to creating photos that tell a story and draw attention on social media. Students should have experience shooting in manual mode. A female model will be on hand for lifestyle imagery posing examples.

Learning Objectives:
- Learn how to break into Influencer Photography
- Learn how to manage the unique relationship between Influencer and Photographer
- Learn how to edit images to attract social media likes

PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS: Skin Deep: A Master Class in High End Photo Retouching
Limited Capacity seats available

Join fashion and beauty photographer Joyanne Panton for advanced photo retouching in Photoshop. Joyanne believes that our skin texture and imperfections are a part of our story, so she strives to polish the image while retaining the essence of the subject. You'll learn how to use features like frequency separation, dodging and burning, and color toning. Joyanne will shoot live to show you tips and techniques that she uses to cut her retouching time in half. Joyanne will share material outlining her step by step process for each technique so that you too can conquer Photoshop! You will leave with the fundamental tools needed to Photoshop a quality image using high end techniques. Attendees can bring a laptop and follow along during this editing process (this is not required).

Learning Objectives:

- Understand the difference between a quick edit and high end edit
- Learn what methods to use to edit skin
- Understand the importance of color toning

Join Tenley as she shares all of the tips, games, and tricks she's learned in her 10+ years of experience creating expressive portraits of kids of all ages and personalities. This demonstration class will start with a discussion to go over her go-to ideas for each age (hello toddlers and angsty teens!), personality (over-hyper, shy, stiff, and uncooperative, just to name a few!) and how to overcome obstacles. Next she will go over how to style your photoshoots by utilizing clothing, color, backgrounds, and props to really bring your vision to life. She will cover how to style shoots yourself (and even make your own props), how to help your clients style their kids themselves and how to make sure everything comes together even when you don’t know what they will wear ahead of time. You will then get to watch her style and photograph models of varying ages (toddler to 8 years old) with homemade props on colorful backdrops while getting a variety expressions and overcoming any obstacles that may arise. Attendees will leave with a handy go-to guide to keep in your camera bag.

Learning Objectives:

- Learn tricks, prompts and games to get kids to loosen up or give them a specific expression desired for the image
- Learn how to deal with children who are shy, stiff, hyper, or not wanting to cooperate
- Learn posing through movement and direction (vs. stagnant minute micromanaging) which creates a more natural looking image and subject
- Learn how to style your very own Expressive Kids shoot

Join fashion and beauty photographer Joyanne Panton on a live shoot! You'll photograph models using studio lights while Joyanne shares the posing techniques you need to capture editorial images. Joyanne will share her love of controlled lighting and demonstrate how it saves the day in unpredictable weather conditions by allowing you to capture an image with great detail and quality. She will also take you through the creative process of set design and color theory to create unique photographs. Post Click Away, Joyanne will follow up with a pdf on advanced Photoshop techniques which will give you the skills you need to polish images while retaining the essence of your subject.
