BOUTIQUE PROGRAM: Small Worlds: Macro Photography as a Peaceful Retreat from the Chaotic World FILLING
Limited Capacity filling up

Experience macro therapy-- a relaxed, macro experience without props, with minimal gear, and in absolutely any environment. Join Caroline and shoot macro images in a relaxed way with one camera, one lens, available light, and a shallow depth of field. Take whatever free moments you have to shoot a few frames---just you, your camera, and any subject you can find. Get an inside look at how Caroline works WITH nature instead of against it. She'll show you how to expand your macro work into larger scenes, known as micro-landscapes, while tapping into the therapeutic benefits of macro work. Allow yourself to get lost in the moment and seek sanctuary from the chaos of life; your macro lens will never be lonely again!

Students should feel comfortable shooting in manual, but guidance will be offered for settings. A macro lens (or close focusing lens) is required. Participants will shoot alongside the instructor and collaborate to problem solve to use creating images as a form of relaxation.

Learning Objectives:

- Learn how to get into macro inexpensively; macro photography can fit any budget
- Learn how imperfection in focus and unconventional techniques can fuel creativity
- Understand how a macro lens can also expand into the exciting genre of micro landscapes---scenes that go beyond 1:1 closeness
- Learn how you can benefit from this way of shooting no matter where you are, no matter what the season may be
- Experience how macro is an effective stress reduction tool and can enhance your practice of gratitude
